For the first time in two years, after the First generation idol Sechskies reunited through ToToGa Season 2 in Infinite Challenge, Sechskies Philippines (Yelkie Ph) was able to hold its first fan gathering with fan screening of the documentary movie of Sechskies entitled “Eighteen.”
In celebration of Sechskies 21st Debut Anniversary, Yelkie Ph did a special gathering where the fans met for the first time. It was held yesterday, April 14, 2018 at Yuchi’s Coffee Shop in Sta. Ana Manila.
For a very short time preparation by the admins, we were able to experience a warm and cozy event.
Meeting with people of the same interest is always exciting and amazing. As a fan girl for over nine years (different artists), this is only the third fan gathering event I have attended and a first to Sechskies. Every attendance gives a new feeling because every fandom has its own story but with the same purpose.
I arrived at the venue two hours before the event. Too early! The cafe was still closed. haha. But its good they let me in after some few minutes. Why I was early? I have wrong expectation with time travel and I want to meet the members early and be refreshed. 🙂
Then one of the admins (Julienne) came with her sisters to start doing the set up. I joined them as well. And although we lacked time, all thanks to these siblings, and Ate Khim with her niece, we’ve got some help to finish the preparation.
Time passes by and Yelkies are coming, bringing their excitement and enthusiasm.
While waiting, fans started to get their food. The admins also gave each yelkie a yellow post it to write their own greetings for Jekki (Sechskies short name).
Then, not long after the movie started. It runs for about 1 hr and 40 mins.

Let me list to you the Six best scenes in this documentary-music movie of Sechskies where Yelkie PH gave their best reaction. 🙂
- Jang Su Won singing “Feeling” (느낌이 와) with sadness
- Lee Jai Jin ‘s rap in “It’s Been a While” (오랜만이에요) and being a happy virus
- Lee Jai Jin is rapping “Hong Hong Hong”
- Kim Jae Duck’s Daramji (squirrel)
- Performing “Drinking Problem” (술끊자) “One More Time” for the nth time!
- Lee Jai Jin’s “One More Bottle” after performing “Drinking Problem” (술끊자)
Most of us may have seen it but for those who haven’t watched the movie yet, please do so and confirm it yourself. 🙂 In conclusion, Lee Jai Jin is the ultimate happy virus of Sechskies! ❤
One more thing to highlight is Eun Ji Won as a leader. If Jiwon is already an effective leader in front of the tv setting aside his eun cho ding image, you will be more proud of him as his effectiveness and efficiency as leader are seen off stage. He is such a hardworking leader behind the scenes!

After the screening, the admins started the part two of the event. It’s time to introduce ourselves. 🙂
Each yelkie has her own story how they came to know Sechskies. And here are the list of them. 🙂
- Through New Journey to the West! – where Eun Ji Won is a regular member flaunting his variety skills.
- The Return of the Superman featuring Ko Sung Jae (son of Sechskies member Ko Ji Yong) – where Ko Sung Jae is showing his love and undying connection for jekki indirectly.
- One Night Two Days – the most popular travel variety show since 2007 where Eun Ji Won is a fixed member in Season 1 and been recognized as Eun Cho Ding.
- I can see your voice ft. H.O.T (rival of Sechskies) – where HOT guested but by through her friend fell in love with their rivalry Sechskies.
- SM stan to YG stan – thanks to great music of YG arrtists, she’s been flipped as YG stan.
- Solely of music! – Nothing beats the appreciation of music. Good music produce good group of listeners and fans!
- Friend and family influence – blood is thicker than water. Sisterhood is stronger than any wood.Who are the most effective people to influence with? Family and friends. 🙂
- Weekly Idol – because the group is messy!!! 🙂 (nothing beats the chemistry of this group! I will always say they are an imperfectly perfect group)
- INFINITE CHALLENGE! ❤ ❤ ❤ – mostly the main reason. I think this is the best. The most nostalgic and heart touching reunion. This is a miracle. 🙂
It’s not a surprise that Eun Ji Won is the bias of most the yelkie who attended the event. But we are happier if we could find other members as their bias. 🙂
It’s been a happy moment. All are excited to share their stories. We also have each own time to get to know more each other and talk way better than using social media accounts.
